Arecont Vision poised to release new line of H.264 IP Cameras
Seems everyone is rushing to jump on the H.264 bandwagon these days, and with good reason. H.264 is the IP camera industry's latest revolution, a new video compression format that optimizes bandwidth and saves storage with much greater effectiveness than previous technologies, including Motion JPEG and MPEG-4. The latest manufacturer to offer up cameras with H.264 compression is Arecont Vision. The company showed off its new H.264 camera series at the IFSEC conference in Birmingham, UK on May 12.
Arecont Vision's latest IP camera offerings are available with 1.3, 2, 4, or 5 megapixel resolution. With multi-streaming capabilities, the cameras can transmit up to eight H.264 video streams at formats, frame rates, or resolutions. H.264 allows the cameras to stream high-definition, megapixel video at extremely fast frame rates.
IP camera models in the Arecont Vision H.264 product line include the Arecont Vision AV1305, AV2105, AV3105, and the Arecont Vision AV5105.
