Arecont Vision introduces new day/night panoramic cameras
Arecont Vision has added two panoramic day/night dome cameras to its powerful SurroundVideo collection.
The AV8185DN and AV8365DN are cost effective alternatives to using several mechanical PTZ cameras. They provide 180-degree and 360-degree coverage respectively, making them ideal for covering expansive areas 24-7.
Both new models have four 2-megapixel sensors and can be switched to night mode automatically or manually. Each camera provides a total image resolution of 6400x1200 pixels at 22 fps.
"Our newest 8 megapixel panoramic cameras provide electronic zoom windows that allow a user to view and record the entire panoramic field of view while simultaneously digitally zooming in to multiple regions of interest,” said Raul Calderon, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Arecont Vision.
Encased in IP66-rated material and 5.5-inch polycarbonate domes, these durable cameras are protected from dust, moisture and vandalism without expensive external housing. To prevent fogging in extreme conditions, both cameras are also available with integrated heaters and blowers.
