Arecont Vision announces compact MegaFlash cameras
Arecont Vision recently unveiled a new lineup of IP network cameras featuring Megaflash technology in 1.3, 2, 3 or 5 megapixel formats. These compact IP cameras are designed to capture detailed images with megapixel resolution, and come equipped with a high-speed shutter that's synchronized with an external strobe light for extremely effective license plate recognition. They're ideal for intelligent transportation system applications, and can capture clear images of vehicles moving up to 100 miles per hour.
Incorporating the flash strobe into the camera design is a key benefit that separates these new Arecont Vision offerings from other surveillance cameras used for license plate recognition and other transportation applications. MegaFlash technology provides automatic camera calibration to support a range of strobe lights. Available models in the MegaFlash series include the Arecont Vision AV1310MF (1.3 megapixel), AV2110MF (2 megapixel), AV3110MF (3 megapixel), and the AV5110MF (5 megapixel) network camera.
