The ACTi Cube offers economical night surveillance

Published by Margeaux on December 10, 2010 9:17 AM

ACTi‘s latest IP feature in Cube cameras greatly increases the likelihood of capturing images of intruders at night without the use of expensive technology.

The new built-in passive infrared sensor (PIR) detects human movement in complete darkness. If an intruder enters the perimeter, PIR triggers the Cube to send a signal over the IP network, instantly activating integrated lamps and/or alarms. External lights enable the camera to capture images as if it were daytime. Furthermore, the lights and alarms may scare away intruders before they cause further damage.

ACTi Cube cameras can be used for motion detection without alarm triggers during the day, making these cameras ideal for economical 24-7 surveillance. The Cube’s PIR event-based video is perfect for museums, retail, home and any application where motion detection will help ensure security.
