ACTi network cameras, LuxRiot software work to provide luxury hotel surveillance
The Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles is a 19-story luxury hotel that, with its sweeping crescent-shaped design, sits as a landmark along the world-famous Avenue of the Stars. The hotel and the surrounding tourist hot-spots reel in mobs of visitors throughout the year, making top-quality video surveillance an important aspect of maintaining security. Recently the Hyatt was equipped with a new video surveillance system that integrates ACTi IP network cameras with LuxRiot software. The network-based system is cost-effective, scalable, and offers outstanding image quality.
The IP cameras deployed for this system include the ACTi ACM-7411 rugged day/night dome, and the ACTi ACM-3411 PoE minidome. Both camera models offer excellent image quality with megapixel resolution, and automatic day/night performance for continuous 24-hour surveillance. Since each camera also supports Power over Ethernet, installation of the ACTi cameras throughout the hotel complex was cost-effective and allowed for flexible positioning. ACTi network cameras were placed in a variety of areas including the hotel lobby, entrances, elevators, the bar and restaurant, and both the outdoor parking lot and underground parking garage. All cameras in the system are monitored using LuxRiot video management software.
