Smartvue’s pioneering cloud-powered video surveillance software service won an illustrious mobility award from Mobile Trax, an esteemed mobile and wireless research firm, at this year’s International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Cloudvue, a remote video monitoring solution offered by Smartvue, was recognized at the show as an outstanding service in the mobile and wireless data industries.

As resported by IMS Research, video surveillance providers are expected to incur $75 million more in revenue from small-to-medium-sized businesses by the end of this year. Nationally recognized market research firm IMS Research estimates that the number of surveillance systems purchased by SMBs will increase by 50% at the end of 2012. As of today, Milestone’s XProtect Device Pack 5.7 is available. The update enables support for dozens of IP cameras and devices from manufacturers such as ACTi, Sony and Vivotek. In addition, the new update offers improved support for existing products.
