New surveillance system designed specifically for the farm
Thanks to an innovative new surveillance system, it's going to be a lot easier to keep watch over the old family farm, at least if you live in Finland. ASAN Security Technologies has joined forces with the Finnish Data Processing Centre Ltd. to develop the system which is designed specifically for professional use in farming.
The surveillance system is based on an ASP model utilizing servers and software located in the Agricultural Data Processing Centre. Using password-protected accounts, farmers will be able to remotely monitor livestock and production facilities via the Internet. The Agricultural Data Processing Centre will also handle all system updates, maintenance, and support services for users of the system.
So far, the pilot installations have received rave reviews, and the system's developers are hoping that their surveillance network could become a model for how agricultural video security is handled internationally.
