Milestone launches XProtect Mobile

Milestone Systems, a leading manufacturer specializing in open platform video surveillance software, recently launched XProtect Mobile. The new app enables those using XProtect VMS software to view IP video using a compatible smartphone or tablet.

In addition to monitoring live video streams, XProtect Mobile enables users to control PTZ cameras, take snapshots, playback video and more. XProtect mobile is designed to be user friendly and power efficient.

XProtect Mobile is currently available for use on Android 2.2 or higher. In spring 2012, it will be available for iPhone and iPad devices as well.
